Update from the Office of the State Fire Marshal:
The state fire resource rostering system remains open and we are preparing for additional deployments to Polk and Henderson Counties. We are also preparing for the possibility of the Table Rock Complex Fire to extend into North Carolina.
We are currently in need of additional Type 3 Engines, Tankers, and Brush Trucks.
We do not have a definitive timeline for possible deployment, and this is not a deployment order. The rostering program through OSFM will allow departments to identify available resources if a need for deployment arises, where OSFM will contact the department with further information. It is imperative that your local Fire Marshal and Emergency Management Coordinator are notified that you are rostering prior to beginning the rostering process. The rostering system will also send an email to those individuals in your county to alert them that you are rostered.
The rostering process does not guarantee deployment, and no reimbursement will start until the department receives a mission number and instructions. It is vital that the department Read All Documents prior to rostering apparatus or personnel.
